Do any of you smoke cigarettes and are pregnant? If so how much do you smoke and how often? Please respond if this applies to you.

Some women smoke throughout their whole pregnancies and are fine. However, some will have one or two cigarettes and have a mess of problems.
What happened to one woman has nothing to do with what will (or will not) happen to another.
So, it is really up to you. Is a cigarette worth your babies health?

I hope u dont smoke and are preg? But im assuming maybe u do from the post. I definitly dont, and definitly wouldnt. I know people who have been *lucky* to get away with it and have healthy babies. But I also know some who werent so lucky and have had problems because of it that their babys had to suffer with. Its sooo not worth it. To me its part of being a good mom before the baby comes (to stop smoking asap)

Ok I agree, I smoked b4 I was pregnant, as soon as I found out that I was pregnant with my first baby I quit, it was really hard for me to do because I had been puffing away for 7 years, never realising how bad I must have smelt, or how good food really tastes.......... The thing is I believe that babies have no choice, if the mothers a smoker then the baby is a smoker, and I wanted my little ones to be non smokers.......

I smoked before I found out I was pregnant. As soon as I found out I quit. It was hard but totally worth it. I too never realized how nasty I smelt and how much easier it is to breathe!! Seriously!! And I don't cough anymore. I'm not as sick all the time either.

I dont smoke and I am pregnant, I was just wondering because before (a while before) I used to smoke every once in a while and I have been very stressed out lately and I kinda miss it. I dont want to do anything to hurt my baby, I love her more than anything. I just posted this post because I was curious. Sorry if I got any of you mad and made you think I smoked.

I've had 2 friends that smoked through their whole pregnancies and had healthy babies but I didn't want to take that risk b/c I worked in labor and delivery and seen all kinds of babies born w/complications due to smoking or not smoking. I smoked before I got pregnant but I quit as soon as I found out. One day not to long ago I wanted a cig sooooo bad so my husband let me have one of his and it made me sick! I haven't wanted one since! Maybe try taking a drag off someone else's b/c chances are you won't like it since it's been a while and it will make those cravings stop. It worked for me!
