Q: Fearful of tetanus

I am a 23-year-old female, and I have not had a tetanus booster since the original vaccinations as a child. About a week ago, one of my cats jumped into my lap and gave me a small puncture wound on my leg. This morning I woke up to mild spasms in the muscle near the wound. Knowing that tetanus causes muscle spasms, I did some research. I have not had the typical lockjaw or difficulty swallowing. I did, however, have some mild spasms on one side of my neck a couple of days ago that lasted about half a day and then went away. I have also had stiffness in my left calf muscle for the past couple of days, but this seems to be much better today. Having done my reasearch, I know that tetanus is rare...but I also know how serious it is if you *do* get it, and now I am very worried.

Thank you in advance for your help!
