I am a male, 35 years. During the last 4-5 days, I go into a state where for few seconds or minutes, I go out of control (meaning I am unable to ascertain what is happening around me). I feel a blankness during that period. This happens anytime, during work, driving or even during watching TV or even at my sleep. and also I feel numbness in my limbs (especially on my left hand).

When I come back to normal, I could able to realize that I was in a different state. And when the normalcy is back, i feel a jolt through out my body and feel like that blood flows faster onto my limbs.

Can anyone let me know the cause so that I can approach a appropriate medical treatment.

Difficult to say from here but there are certain similarities with Absence Seizures:

Probably your GP is the first person to see, then a neurologist.

my brother experienced similar episodes, eyes get a glazed look, episodes lasted few seconds, gradually got longer, he was diagnosed with scarring on the brain from a car accident, he had this scar tissue removed, unfortunately this left him with temperal lobe epilepsy. Definately see a doctor asap.
