nausea and stomach pain means gallbladder surgery ?
Posted: 02-11-08 18:49pm

For about 2 months I've had nausea on and off with achy pain in my lower stomach, very low energy, increased gas. Ultrasound on gallbladder came back normal. Hida Scan said "gallbladder ejection fraction using 17.5 mcg Kinevac is decreased, 16%". "decreased gallbladder ejection fraction which could represent gallbladder dyskinesia in the appropriate clinical setting". Pain was worse when medicine injected. Does anyone know what this means? Dr says it not an emergency right now but that I could feel better with surgery.

Sounds like a sluggish gallbladder without stones

You can do your own search on the Internet to look for ways to help your gallbladder, there are lots and lots of home remedies. Most of the remedies to get rid of gallstones can also be used to stimulate the gallbladder back to health, though I would not recommend using an olive oil flush.
First of all, eating a low fat diet makes it worse. You will have less symptoms, but it just makes the gallbladder more lazy and makes the bile thicker. So many people are mistakenly told by their doctors to eat no fat and that just makes the problem worse.
About 15 days ago I had very severe nausea and pain. In that small amount of time I have come a long way. There are supplements that will thin the bile and help clear things out.
I have been taking lecithin in pill form - 1 pill with each meal. In the morning I take 1,000 mg vit C, 1,000 mg fish oil and 1,000 mg taurine. and I also take 2 mg of melatonin at bedtime, which is suppose to help the gallbladder and it also helps me to sleep well, which is important in healing.
Also, I include fat in my meals on purpose, at this point I eat any kind of fat, just to make sure my gallbladder is contracting - even if it causes me some pain.
And I make sure and get in 30 min of exercise everyday or at least 4 days a week.
I am getting better - it can be done!
That all said, it is your body and only you can decide what you need best. Having my gallbladder problems has been a very scary thing and caused me a lot of anxiety, but I am doing much better now and I have hope in a full recovery. I almost feel I'm back to 100% again. I just wish there was more information out there to help fight gallbladder disease other than just one option of surgery. Once it's done - there's no getting your gallbladder back.
Best wishes to you! Let us know how things go. Very
Happy

back pain while sleeping

in addition to all the normal symptoms, is it normal to have pain that wakes you up if you sleep on the right side? I have had many of the classic symptoms and am going for a hida scan tues. The pain that wakes me up because I naturally sleep on my right side is the worst. any one else with this?
