Curious if anyone has heard of Avonex causing migraines?? I've had a lot of issues w/the side effects that Avonex can cause and migraines on top of it. My doc took me off it today saying that it could be the cause for the headaches and my thyroid issue. I've also had vertigo, fatigue and some memory/focus issues. Anyone heard of this kind of thing in regards to Avonex? Thanks!!

avonex and migraines
I've only been on it a month and have terrible headaches lasting 3 days sometimes throughout the week. My legs are weak and I feel terrible. I'll give it another month and if I still feel this way, I'm off it.

I have been on Avonex
for 4.5 years. the first year was hard but then a new doctor changed me to the powder form I mixed myself and the side effects went down considerabley. You also have to hydrate really well during the day before you take the shot and after as the Avonex causes dehydration. Systoms of dehydration are fatique, headache, nasea and joint pain. As long as I drink plent of fluids I do well. My doctor did say the prefilled syringes are less tolerated so if you are using that form i recommend changing. It did me a world of wonder
