Q: finger gout

hi im enquiring about gout in the finger. it seemed to quite inflammed and pus filled underneath the layer of skin. it has been like this for three years and now has a slight wound on top. what would you recommend to treat this? antibiotics, lance? help

Gout is NOT covered in this forum. It has it's own seperate forum. Please do not hijack some one elses thread for your questions.

What in the heck are you talking about? What do you mean "gout is not covered?" Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Confused In case you hadn't noticed, this is a gout forum and people come here for help.

As far as the question goes, I am not a doctor, so I would be hesitant to say it was (or was not) gout. 3 years is an awfully long time to go without treatment, so I would say to see your doctor and maybe he/she could give you something to help.
