Hi I'm 21 and I just started the depo shot in January ans i was made aware that SPOTTING is a side effect however it seems that the "spotting" Im experiencing is more of a period, uterus lining and all, but it hasn't stopped and it's been about a week now... am I ok? has anyone else experienced this? or should I get checked out? it's throughly halting what little sex life I have.

scared

A week is okay. As long as you're not filling more than 3 pads an hour it's nothing to worry about and there's literally nothing anyone can do to stop it. I spotted for two weeks myself, and I've heard of bleeding to some extent for as long as the first whole month!
