My 10 year old has always had a sort of "protruding" part of her ribcage, just next to her sternum. A couple of years ago, her doctor said that happens to some kids and not to worry. As she matures, she is becoming more aware and embarassed by this. I worry that it could be something more than normal, and if it is, what is it?

Could anyone advise?
