Do you think it would be ok if I used this during swim practice? It just seems so strange, but I'm sick of forgetting to buy tampons and this sounds like it would be a great alternative.

How much are they by the way? The website just went on about them being worth the extra money, which I'm sure is true, but I'm just curious

it should be about $40. i'm not sure about swimming. i've never tried it and i looked up the faq section on a couple of sites and it doesnt say anything about swimming. i imagine it would be ok, since the menstrual cup forms a seal against your vaginal walls. but if in doubt find the contact address for the company and email your question to them!

I'm sure interested in trying it out. It sounds great IMO. I'll will def look into and say goodbye to tampons and the nasty pads!

For tampon insertion I also do it sitting right on the toilet. Standing or propping one leg or any of those other poses never looked comfortable, and plus I have a difficult time relaxing my vagina when my legs are in use.

My divacup was around $30 - but you never have to buy another box of tampons or big pads again! It pays itself off in just a few months of use. I had to order mine, too.

There are disposable cups you can buy in stores, I've seen then a few times. I think they aren't made out of as nice a plastic as the divacup, which is made from silicone. The disposables may be harder because of this, and they also can't be cleaned and stored away. Silicone is really a fantastic material Smile

i suggest trying tampax! they are so absorbent. i hated playtex tampons. they never stayed in the right place and always leaked. >.< i know what you mean by the feeling of it coming out and all. but i have no choice. if i use a tampon on the fisrt 2 days i get really bad cramps and bleed through in less then an hour. i believe it's because of the blood clots that get stuck in there and have no way out. but anyways try tampax if you haven't yet. they are a good choice. Smile
