Update On Us!

So, I got those bottles that Natalie suggested...

And they're GREAT!!!!!!! They've helped bring her suck back and she's spending MORE time on the breast, and LESS time on the bottle!! Her latch has also improved 10 fold!!! yes
She's such a trooper!!!

The lactation consultant called me Friday to see how things were going and to see how her Dr's appt went. I told her about everything and she congratulated me on STILL breastfeeding. Even after all that we've been through! She basically assured me that SOME breast milk is better than NONE, and that with time/practice, she WILL get better!!

Oni is doing SOOOO great with Nya! She's SOOO gentle and loves Nya so much!!(can I say 'SOOO' anymore?! LOL!)
Seriously, I'm really proud of Oni. She's very independent and wants to be so involved with EVERYTHING concerning Nya!
I love my baby girls so much it literally brings tears to my eyes.

I'm doing GREAT. I know it's still early, but I'm feeling SO positive about everything. We'll see how that goes when Baron goes back to work. LOL!

Thanks everyone for all the advice/tips on the breastfeeding! It really means a lot to me to hear such positive words!!

I'm glad the bottles worked for you! They're a little more expensive than normal bottles and some patients have said they're a little complicated, but you've got it down!
Glad I could help! (Btw my mom says she's glad it worked for you too!)

Thanks Natalie!! & tell your mom I said Thanks too!!

Baron didn't like them at first because she has to "work for the milk". But once I expressed my LOVE for them and how much they've helped HER...he's grown to like em! He didn't understand how much they really are JUST like the breast!!

She's such a good baby so far!! If she's ANYTHING like Oni, she's gonna be an angel!!!

Did you point out that she has to "work for the milk" on the breast, too?

oh yessss!! I told him "what the hell do you think she has to do for my breastmilk?!"

His reply..."it just looks so much easier when she's on your boob!"

He's so silly!!

Haha! I'd just have been like, "tell that to my nipples!"

Seriously, I'm so glad everything worked out for you. And just to prove to you that you've got it GOOD with Nya, when my mom breastfed me (which she did for like...18 months, I think?) my nickname at first was "Baby Barracuda"!

Thanks Amy!!!

Yea, I've heard that when teeth come into the picture, the story changes! LOL!

I'm really glad her latch has gotten better. My nipples were TORE up when she started. I'm talking I had a full blown scab on my nipp nipp!! OUCHHH!!

Now, I don't feel a THING when she's sucking and she's getting SOOO much more!!
The right latch makes SOOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOO much of a difference!!!

Sometimes it just happens...I have no idea why. And sometimes it still works as a link, even with all the extra text!
