small, red, itchy, painful bumps on fingers/hands

Okay, about one month ago a small red, itchy, sore bump came up on the lower part of the inside part of my thumb. At first I thought it was a wart, but now its skin colored and really rough. Around one week ago, another bump came up on the lower inside part of my finger. This one is very sore, and because it is right in the bend of my finger it is always hurting. It's pink, slick, very itchy and very annoying.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me figure out what this is before my next appt. with my dermatoligist, which isn't for another year.

Hi, I have the same thing I think. I went to my doctor and he told me I was allergic to my magnolia tree which I had been trimming a few weeks before I got these bumps on my fingers/hands, he gave me hydro cortisone cream and steroid pills, which so far are not helping me much but it has only been 3 days and my Dr. said it would take a week or so to go away. I also have what I think to be a very small wart on my finger that I was picking at before these bumps appeared so maybe the wart spread to cause these tiny bumps, not sure what to think anymore but I am very paranoid over this, I am afraid it might spread to other parts of my body. I did get rid of all my soaps and lotions and bought Alveeno lotion and Dial hypoallergenic soap, excuse my spelling....The Alveeno lotion really stops the itching and soreness, if this doesn't go a way with in a week I am going to see a specialist too. Good luck to you, hope you feel better soon.
