I have a 3 and half month old daughter. Shes a happy and healthy baby.
I just wish I could say the same about myself.
Well from the beginning. The delivery went fine...there were some minor complications moments afterwards with my daughter but thingswere fine a few hrs later. I went through aot of pain healing. They mis-diagnosed me for 2 weeks that prlonged the whole thing I ended up getting a bad infection that spread through out my body. I was unablpe to care for my daughter a few times...but at the time I still felt content with things..just sore and sick... but I got over all of that.. and felt fine and happy and thankful for such and amazing child.
The past month and a half has been like a slow down fall from all that happiness. It first stared out with not being able to sleep, then incrediably irritable, can't eat. I just assumed baby blues.. thought I should just wait for it too pass. Then everything just crashed, I cant concentrate on anything, I cant sleep, im always exausted, my boyfriend cant talked to me without me snapping for no reason what so ever...there are days where I feel so distant from my daughter and I loss all interest in her, and other times i've caught mself gettin snappy with her. I totally lost intrest in sex and dont even want to be touch.. I have no sense of humor. .and im ALWAY nervous..i never want to go out or have ppl over I just cant handle being around then. I just feel so far away from everyone. Now im no doctor but ive read about PPD and Im pretty sure thats what I am going though.
Im curious , for those going through or ave been through PPD..What Meds do they put you on and sideffects?? I really want and need help and cant go anymore feeling like this but I really want to know what Im instore for with the medications. I wish I could talk to therepist but thats not an option I live in a very small town and there are none here.

Medications...
I am currently on cymbalta, klonopin(for anxiety),welbutrin, geoddon, zoloft(I'm being weened off of it). I don't reallly have any side effects but the meds aren't really working. I'm a pretty difficult case so I also have to have ECT. Most women respond well with meds so you will probably be fine.
