hello everyone i have been dealing with this condition for over seven years, nurologists say it falls into their grey area and phsychologists say its to specific to be a mental dissorder, if anyone has any ideas i would like to hear them. i basically hear voices mostly accusatory (unjustified)
and see a heat haze type effect, roughly in the shape of a person, i also often feel the prescence of people both alive and dead, and am able to identify who the person is by their prescence, i also saw a tv episode where kelsey grammer played the angle of death and now i see him driving past me all the time, its very spooky, i become highly distressed and have tried suicide on various occasions, even ending up in the er having my stomach pumped while being unconscious for a day or two,
on another occasion i swallowed hemlock seeds and went down to the river and waited to pass out and die, i felt a prescence of pure evil standing behind me and i was frozen to the spot in which i stood, it left after a few seconds and i went home and vomited and made it through the night. well thats about it, its all to much to cope with at times, has anyone experienced any of these things occuring, am i schitzophrenic, i have trialed most anti phsychotic meds and most if not all have had little or no effect. thanks

I don't know much about schizophrenia but you do sound very depressed and I cannot imagine why your primary care physician has not picked up on this. I don't understand what 'too specific to be a mental disorder' means - are they saying it is behavioural or emotional? Regardless, they should be doing everything possible to find medication to help you live a less stressful life.

Please seek another opinion - that really is not good enough.

If you're depressed that might be causing hallucinations. Are you?

It is probably not Schizophrenia since you are only experiencing certain things. That is probably why it is 'too specific to be a mental disorder'. But I don't know. It's probably something you have to deal with yourself... try and find the root of the problem... and fight it... That's what I'm trying at the moment.
