Is it possible to have a hysterectomy and leave part of the cervix? Had a hysterectomy about five years ago and have recently been for an ultra scan. Doctor says i've got a cervix yet lab report I received about my hysterectomy talks about cervix. Doctor who carried out operation says my cervix was removed? Current gp confirms that I have a cervix after examination but has since asked for further investigation after I showed him lab report.
Can you mistake a cervix for something else?
