Q: Dinner and Baby Stuff!

Nick and I just went over to our friend's Whitney and Eben's house for dinner (they have a six month old son) and after we were done eating, she brought out a big Huggies box like you get at Sam's club and it was stuffed with baby things!

She gave me at LEAST twenty outfits (mostly newborn), a couple of hats, like eight blankets, some cocoa butter lotion, and breast pumping bags that she never used. I was like Shocked.

I love having friends that are parents. We just sat there for like three hours talking about everything. They gave such good advice. I had a good night.

Wow, that was so nice of them. It must be nice to have some friends of yours that you can relate to so well. I wish I were that lucky...

So are you going to try and breast feed? When I have kids I hope I'm able to, but I've heard that it's A LOT harder to do than people say it is.

I am going to try to breastfeed, but I don't judge people who don't. It's a personal choice for everyone and it's different for everyone.

I am very glad we have friends that have kids. None of yours do at all?

Well, my best friend had a baby when she was 16, but I haven't seen her since the day I got married, which was almost 2 years ago now, so I don't think I can really count her Sad One of my friends from high school just had a baby with his girlfriend, but I only get to read about it on myspace. None of my friends that I now see often are married or anything, so I feel like it's really hard for my husband and I to have friends that respect the fact that we are married (you know... don't talk about how hot so-and-so is all the time, or want to go out and get drunk every day of the week, etc). It's just really nice to have people that are experiencing the same things that you are in your life. No one else really gets it until they're in the same situation, you know? Confused

I'm glad we have such a big support group. She also gave me a ton of magazines. I forgot to add that, haha. I love them.

Most of our friends have boys. We get some toys passed to us, but not many clothes.
