On New Years I hooked up with a girl and we started seeing eachother. We were "fooling around" and agreed not to have sex.

Too make a long story short she got excited and was on top and put my penis in her vagina. It was in there for about 10 secinds and I got her off me and asked her if she was clean.

She got really pissed off at me, but I was wondering what the odds of me catching the disease were.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You
had sexual contact, even for 10 seconds, without protection? What do you think?

Honestly, any sexual contact without protection can be at a risk. Are you certain that you are totally clean yourself?

As you must know by now, HPV is a serious treat to all people who are sexually active. For a woman, she can be checked out with a pap smear which will indicate if she has HPV with the high risk types which can untimately lead to cervical cancer.

For a man, at this time, there is no test. However, if you have had unprotected sex, in any way shape or form, which includes genital contact even whilst wearing a condom, yes, you too can be exposed to HPV.

Please check out for yourself the information that is available. Go to eHealth Forum Genital Herpes and ask the questions that you need to have answered.

Don't freak out. I am sure you will be fine.

Good luck.

infectious is infectious as far as I am concerned..what does not very infectious mean? I am confused about that .. Confused .easy to get or hard to get, you can still get it if you don't play very safe! And being inside her for 10 seconds I wouldn't think it was very likely but what the hell do i know? HIV/AIDS and HPV are virus causing diseases
from sexual activity can come back and bite you on the behind.

Did you know this girl was exposed to HIV/AIDS when you had the encounter with her? Surely, you would know that would put you at risk.

Go to Sexual Health-Men's Health, Sexual Health-Women's Health, and go to Kia Sticky Post. She is the most informed person on this forum.

Please PM her and she is the one I would ask about this question that you have.

If you have had unprotected sex with someone, and you haven't personally seen their test results seeing that they're clean, well, I'd suggest getting tested.

YOu can go to any clinic and ask for a full std checkup. You don't need to be worried only about HIV, but lots of other things as well!

True
I just went in for my six month Pap smear because of HPV with the high risk types.

The man I was with said he was clean. Not true. Please check out at any clinic and ask for a full std checkup. There are lots of things out there and if you are only concerned about that one time, please read up on these forums. There are a lot of things to be concerned about with your sexual health.

It is a good thing you came to eHealth Forum. There are some pretty amazing people on here who will truly try to help you.

Good luck and play safe.

I work at a hospital. I get tested for everything imaginable every 6 months. I'm in the O.R. and around the patience all day.

I'm friends with the girl I was with, It wasn't a stranger.

I've already been tested but I kno the HIV virus takes a few months to be able to detect. That's why I was asking.

Thanks for the replies though.
