may 06. began having muscle spasms all over body, blurred vision close up, feeling of inbalance, mild pin pricking feelings in extremities(hands, feet, legs) this all caused very high anxiety.lasted 2 to 3 weeks, saw neuro about 4 mos later, did standard neuro exam, said i was fine, no problem found. Now caught bad chest and head cold as symptoms of this subsided, began having blurred vision again, pain when swallowing(bruise feeling)4 to 5 days later pin prick feeling again and muscle spasms, twitches all over body. Still experiencing symptoms. first time i had these symptoms they eventually completely disappeared for almost 2 yrs now they are back. Does MS act in this manner? symptoms coming and going completely for a fairly long period of time? any info would help.

Yes it does. You see MS is an unpredictable disease of the Central Nervous System.

I know if I get a bladder infection some of my old symptoms that I had put to rest may rise to the occassion to pester me once more. So I have learned that if a certain MonSter beings to appear I know I have an infection or am fighting one.

Stress can trigger a flare or even heat...just depends on the person as MS does not treat all of its victims the same.

There are four types of MS: Relapsing Remitting MS, Primary Progressive MS, Secondary Progressive MS and Benign.

MS
I had Optic neuritis when I was 20 and the doctors could get me a diagnosis but told me I had MS or and brain tumor but they couldn't find either no. All my life I have had weird symptoms. I am 50 now and a Registered Nurse. March 6, 2009 I got a bad pain in my left should and within minutes my left hand cramped the fingers straigthened out and spread out and my arm contracted to my chest. When I tried to straigthen out my arm it went palm up. Less than 5 minutes the left corner of my mouth started twitching and and then my tongue felt strange. It went on to affect my nech muscle and speech. The episode lasted 3 hours. I was told it was a mini stroke due to a clot from the atrail fib I have. My problem is I keep having symptoms and cardialogist saids it neurological and the neruologist saids it cardiac. My original opthalmalogist thought some day it would show MS. All the test have been negative. Does any one have any thought on these weird symptoms?
