With all I have been going through, my anxiety is through the roof. Honestly I even wonder if my ativan is helping anymore. Which doesn't help with not being able to eat much.

The other day my doctor told me to get some liquid vitamins, cause I am feeling so weak and well guess what, they gave me indigestion. Sad Even tried them a day later and again the same.

Can't drink anything like Boost or a protein shake, so I guess for right now I stick with the rice cakes, soda crackers and cream of rice cereal.

But after reading some of the posts about the HIDA scan I am concerned that it will put me into a gallbladder attack. I really don't want to feel any worse than I already am. Plus the fact of having to get up 5 hours early to deal with any indigestion I might have that morning, like I do every morning so that I can have the test.

Normally how long does it take for the results to come back?

I was reading a gallbladder diet for both having stones and after surgery. Said that avocados are ok to have, well I had not more than a tablespoon of some and within and couple hours, the pain started. Not bad pain, just the kind to let me know not to do that again.

If this isn't my gallbladder I don't even want to think of what needs to be done next. I had an Upper GI, which my doctor told me would show everything that a scope would and it came back, mild GERD. Then I went to his associate, cause my doctor was on call that week and this doctor told me no a Upper GI will not show the same thing and told me that is what I need. Well I explained that first off I am claustrophobic and that would be very hard for me to get through. Secondly, the gastro doctor will not allow me to take my ativan before the test. That is a real problem, cause I have been on it now for nearly 3 months since this started and my body has a need for it. Has anyone had to deal with this?

Sorry for the long post, but hope there are a few of you who can give me some encouragement.
