recently had bad chest cold, coughing up
phlegm, sinus congestion,mild sore throat.
(virus)as symptoms began to subside, the
strange symptoms that I had about 1.5 yrs
ago came back, started with blurry vision
on things close up, computer
screen,newspaper,etc. A feeling of
inbalance, mild nausea, pain when
swallowing like a bruised feeling(this
symptom did not occur 1.5yrs ago, also no
nausea back then) then 4 to 5 days later
muscle spasms or twitches all over
body(had this 1.5 yrs ago) also very mild
prickly not painful pin prick feeling in
hands feet legs come and go quickly, and
happen occasionally but daily. no real
sign of symptoms subsiding, saw nurse
practitioner before spasms started, said
light fluid in ears, asked if neurologist
did brain scan, I said no just
neurological exam, she stated he should of
done a brain scan. making another
appointment with neurologist.
Question is Do MS symptoms come on like
this and then no sign of disease for a yr
or more? any inf would help.

neurologist about 3 mos after symptoms.
Neurologist found nothing said i had no
neurological disorders.
Some of the symptoms that you mention
including blurry vision, imbalance, muscle
spasms and twitches, muscle pain could be
due to multiple sclerosis (MS). During
MS, any part of the brain can be affected
at any time. The symptoms of multiple
sclerosis depend upon the location of a
brain lesion. Another characteristic of
this disease is that the symptoms can
disappear for a while (remission) and then
come back again (relapse). But remission
is never complete and every new relapse
makes the condition worse. In time, more
brain lesions occur on various locations.
That’s why MS is a chronic and
progressive disease. Further more, the
progression of the disease is strictly
individual. There is no efficient
treatment. Instead, doctors work to help
slow the progression.
It's not certain if your symptoms are due
to MS or something else without certain
diagnostic procedures. MS can be
identified with a full neurological
examination including a, CT-scan or MRI of
the brain and laboratory examinations of
the cerebral and spinal liquid. You can
consult a neurologist about this for more
advice and to schedule an appointment.
