List of pre-existing conditions: IBS since teenager

Current medical status: 1.5 yrs ago strange symptoms came on lasted aprox 3-4 wks. referred to neurologist. saw neurologist about 3 mos after symptoms. Neurologist found nothing said i had no neurological disorders.




Some of the symptoms that you mention including blurry vision, imbalance, muscle spasms and twitches, muscle pain could be due to multiple sclerosis (MS). During MS, any part of the brain can be affected at any time. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis depend upon the location of a brain lesion. Another characteristic of this disease is that the symptoms can disappear for a while (remission) and then come back again (relapse). But remission is never complete and every new relapse makes the condition worse. In time, more brain lesions occur on various locations. That’s why MS is a chronic and progressive disease. Further more, the progression of the disease is strictly individual. There is no efficient treatment. Instead, doctors work to help slow the progression.

It's not certain if your symptoms are due to MS or something else without certain diagnostic procedures. MS can be identified with a full neurological examination including a, CT-scan or MRI of the brain and laboratory examinations of the cerebral and spinal liquid.
