Has anybody had this problem? I recently underwent abdominal surgery. While recovering, my bs started rising. First day, 6.9,by day2 it was up to 11.9. No food, but I was on I.V. I am not on meds, but am diet controlled. Since I couldn't get up to walk, it just kept climbing. Does this mean I will eventually need meds? I'm feeling better now but I have a persistent infection and am on cloxacillen. Is this common with diabetics?
