tender testicles and wrinkled penis head after chlymidia

6 months ago I contracted an STI which was originally diagnosed as NSU and a few days later found to be Chlamydia. I was given antibiotics to treat the infection but returned to the clinic two weeks after finishing as i was still showing symptoms. I was told that infections differ in strength and given another course of a different antibiotic.

This seemed to clear up any signs of chlamydia but some symptoms persisted and i still didn't feel healthy. I constantly felt a very slight discomfort in the head of my penis, my testicles constantly tender and i imagine they felt like they were tingling. Most worringly, i had sort of a cracked/ wrinkled penis head and occasional red marks again on the penis head. I saw my GP and went back to the GUM clinic, both said everything seemed fine and it was probably just a fungal infection.

6 months on, i still feel exactly the same. The discomfort, tingling and red marks are still continuing. I don't want to go back to the doctor and be made to feel like i'm overreacting but at the same time i could do with some guidance. I'm concerned that i have genital herpes however when i've mentioned this on the four or five occasions i've sought medical attention, they've always been very quick to dismiss the possibility. has anybody experienced anything similar?
