Q: Sex & date of conception
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 8th, 2008
I am due may 7. My current bf and I had sex between the 22 of July and August 11. On August 12 I started 'bleeding' not like a normal period as this lasted 2 days and was very light and spotty and not bright red like my norm. period. My last normal period was 5 July and lasted 7 days and heavy in the beginning (normal for me) up until the 5 or 6 day (normal for me). A day after the light spotting I had in August I took a preg. test and it came out a faint pos. then took another one and came out neg. I then had sex with a guy on August 18. He told me several times that because of something that happend as a kid he is sterile as ruled by a dr. (hope he didn't lie) and had been married 2x b4 and tried just to be trying and no kids so "dr. is right". Anyway, according to my due date I should have had a period August 1. I did not. I actually even was having sex with my bf that whole week I supposedly shoud have had it. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out when I had sex for conception. HELP!!

Pregnancy Calendar Answer A3654
It is very difficult in your case to estimate the date of conception because you experienced irregular bleeding during July and August 2007. To calculate a baby's conception date, you need the precise date of the last menstruation . If you like to know the identity of the real father, you can wait until after delivery to perform DNA-testing.
