Q: Swollen lymph node & lump

I have a lump in the left side of my throat below my tonsils and it occasionly hurts the left side of my face is slightly swollen. I am now begining to get pins and needles down the left side of my neck and back. When I swallow I only feel the left side.

The lump on the left side of your throat below your tonsils could be a swollen lymph node. Swollen lymph nodes on the neck are usually due to some type of throat infection. It's difficult, however, to connect the face swelling and back pain with the throat lump. You can visit your GP to confirm or exclude possible throat infection as a diagnosis and to inspect the other symptoms that you mention.
