Hi, i'm new here

i've had bulimia for 3 years now. I've never seeked any help because I didn't realize that bulimia is a dangerous disease. After reading some of the topics on this forum i'm scared for myself. I didn't realize that bulimia can kill you. I've tried stopping a few times but haven't been successful. I've lasted for a week max but then i've just gone back to my old ways. I don't throw up all the time, only when I eat junk food or when i've eaten too much. I throw up maybe 3 of 4 times a week, usually after dinner.
I'm not overweight but I think I am. No matter what people say I still think i'm overweight. I don't know how to stop. Over the last year or so i've noticed my hair thinning dramatically. I used to have really nice and thick hair but now my hair looks really thin. I've lost a lot of hair. I was just wondering if its anything to do with been bulimic. I don't see how because I only throw up a few times a week but i'm not sure. If it is to do with been bulimia how can I get my hair healthy again. I know the most obvious thing is to stop throwing up but that's going to take time.
Is there some sort of vitamins I should be taking. Please help because i'm really worried. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

How could you not know how dangerous this disease is? Yes, it will make you lose your hair.
If you only make yourself throw up after you eat junk food or eating too much, then don't eat junk food. And make yourself stop eating before you are too full. No, it is not going to be easy, but if you are just learning that it will kill you then it should be easier now.

i think you should check out this cite, it will tell you what your doing to your health, and also there are people who are going through what your are and have gone through it and gotten better. You should also go to your Dr. And have them run blood tests on you and make sure you haven't thrown your system too far out of whack, they can also give you a referal to see someone who specialises in bulimia- it's going to be really tough, but even if you go from doing it 3- 4 x's a week to 1 x thats a small step in the right direction. Good luck and don't be scared to get help for this!!!!!!!!
