I was diagnosed with conversion disorder
when I was 16 - but I never followed
through with treatment and the physical
problem went away on its own. I haven't
had any serious recurrences.
Do you think that the problem could arise
again - given that I never sought
treatment?
I was skeptical of the diagnosis because
there were soo many physical sympotoms
that kept retuning negative test results.
However, I happend to watch er last night
where they had this woman with conversion
disorder and it made me realize how real
somehting like this can be.
Any advice or suggestions?

Yes. From what I know about it- which
given I don't know a great deal on it- but
it is easier to treat early on when
symptoms aren't as serious, if it's left
untreated it could later on develop into
more serious symptoms that are more
difficult to treat or are just not
treatable. So it might be a good idea to
make an appt with a doctor and ask
questions and tell them your concerns, and
also researching it yourself just so you
have better knowledge. Hope I helped
