Q: Hot feeling on skin
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 8th, 2008
My right leg (right side of front of my lower leg) feels hot at times.
Really not sure of another way to describe it. Its been happening for a week now.
I get a distinct hot feeling inside my leg (sort of just under the skin) - might be muscular but I'm not sure...
Is this common or anything to worry about?

A hot feeling from the leg without any other symptom (pain, skin redness, swelling…), at your age in the late 20's, indicates nothing serious. You could be experiencing anxiety, for example. Nonetheless, you can visit your GP or family doctor to exclude some possible organic reason for the hot feeling (enlarged superficial veins, skin inflammation, neuralgia etc.).
