Q: Bleeding soreness after sex

My boyfriend and I had sex for the first time about a month ago. We were both virgins. Once or twice, in the following weeks, I found that I bled a little after, and sometimes I would be somewhat sore.

The sex isn't painful, though, and I'm on Depo-Provera, so my period and any spotting has stopped as far as I know. I'm fairly positive that it's not menstrual.

Is this dangerous in any way? Does anyone know if it's common to bleed a little afterwards? And should I go see my doctor about it?

It can be common because it's really easy to slightly tear or scratch the vaginal walls. Maybe try using luricant (store bought) and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, you might want to check with your doc, it could be a sign of something else.
