Get a copy of all your medical records! You will be dumbfounded.

Records
What do you do if you can't get all of your records? The navy retired my records from when my hubby was in the service. I can't find them. Also I tried to retrieve my records from texas-doctors and they are incomplete. When I ask they said they don't keep every thing from past patients. Plus I was sent from one doc to another for awhile, also one of my doctors moved her pratice to another city. My doctors here ask me to get all my records from there but I just wasn't able to. I try to make sure both of my doctors here keep each other up to date on my records.
Lady brannon, I have read where you say hot baths help . I can't take a hot bath . My skin is very sinsitive to hot and cold. The doctor said not to take even ahot shower, because it could burn me. We have a whirlpool tub and I can't even enjoy it. Sad I was reading back on the web page and the topic was sunscreen. They told me to use the baby one ( the one with the little girl and the dog pulling at her pants) 45. I get it at sam's club for about $8 a lg. Bottle. The biggest problem I have is finding the right hat. Even if I get a big floppy one my lips burn. Even with sunscreen lip balm. Is this just me or does anyone else have this problem? Confused

I would contact the military as a whole and try to get them to help you. My fil is a retired military officer; i'll ask him if he can give me any advice/insight on this.

No, there were not any problems, per se...But I did find things I did not know...Apparently, at 29, I have degenerative thoracic disc disease. I had no idea. It has been mentioned in my charts 3x in the last 6 months! Rolling Eyes

i also did not know that, despite my cellcept dosage, I began dropping protein again in june. It has stopped, but still. Of course, to be fair, I had a lot of crap going on then...And an increase of my cellcept immediately fixed the problem.

I also found out a lot about my recent and past lab results. Just a lot of stuff, you know. I just think it is a good idea for everyone to keep an eye on their records. It is your body after all.

Cheerio,

About the hot thing...Here is something to try...I cannot promise it will work, but it might.

Get a bag of rice. Put it in the microwave for 45 seconds. Make sure the bag is okay to your touch. If it is, put it on the offending joint for 15 minutes or so. That way...You are only warming that part of your body.

Try putting a safe version of zinc oxide on your lips. It is a 100% blocker (or so they say!) i, personally, use a base of lip balm with sunscreen and then put my sunscreen containing lipstick on over it. Double the coverage!
Wink
just an idea or two!

I'll be thinking about you and hoping that all is well with the doctor (no new stuff) and that you feel better very very soon!

I also want to sat that you really have become a good "lupus" friend of mine. Thank you!

Thankyou
Lady brannon I also want to thank you for being there for me and so many others! I'm not good with the technical stuff. I appreciate,as I know others do for you staying on top of it. I'm feeling a little better at this moment, but i'm taking it very easy to night! I've been taking short little naps all day. I am a little nervous about tomorrow. My doctor is very carring and easy to talk to. It's me, I always freeze up and forget half of what I want to tell him. I hope my notes help. I'm pretty sure he will be refering me to a lupus doctor at the mayo clinic in jacksonville, florida. That's what we last discused awhile ago.I just get nervous any time I have to see a new doctor! But I gotta do what I gotta do to find the help I need, I feel a lot more confident now than I did before I found this web page. Smile i'll let you know how it goes.
