I already posted this in the Birth Control Forum but it seems this forum gets more traffic so I wanted to post it here too!! Thanks!!

Hi, I wanted to get peoples' opinion on this product. I am already on birth control but am looking for a secondary protectoin method other then condoms. Also, I was specifically interested in if this product creates a bad taste or foul odor. I have read that the foam can taste and smell bad but have found nothing about VCF. Therefore, any opinions on this product would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't know, I haven't used it. But since it's a spermicide, it has to have certain chemicals in it, and those chemical taste bad.

That is what I figured. I had just read on one website since it is a film it is not as messy and doesn't seep out for lack of a better word and therefore was tasteless.

i have used it before...it was effective for me...the only thing is you have to wear a panyliner after wards because as the film dissolves, it runs out of your body.... tends to get a little messy.

As far as tastes goes.....I would have to ask my hubby.
