I was diagnosed with Mono 2 weeks ago. For the last 10 days Ive felt fine with very few instances of fatigue. I was just about ready to go to the gym because of how good I felt. I took an adderall yesterday to write a paper and within 6 or 7 hours of consumming the adderall (which I only take rarely) I began feeling the early symptoms of mono again. I felt weak and achy all over accompanied by a minor headache, sorethroat and sore neck. I was only able to sleep 4 hours even though I had very little energy.
Is it possible that the adderall set me back in my recovery? I am seeing my doctor on friday but I wanted to know your interpretation of what this means and what I should do to prevent a full blown relapse??
No. It did not "set you back". Getting high on amphetamines doesn't help though.
Also, that is what we call a "come-down" that means the bad feelings you get from the effects of the amphetamines or "adderal" wearing off. That's what happens when you take speed. You come down, you feel fatigued, you feel irritable, etc.
