A few months ago I had fever, bad pressure headaches. Since then I have had recurring headaches, facial pressure and aching behind my right eye as well as clicking sound in my head/neck joint area. I eventually went to doctor when symptoms did not go away. Was given a weeks antibiotic for possible sinus infection and had blood test. Antibiotics had little effect but doctor said I had had glandular fever. But my current symptoms seem much more like sinusitis or something else yet doctor told me to go away for 6 weeks to see if it goes away. Doctor did not believe that symptoms might have a separate cause. My question is what do you think is the likely cause of my symptoms. I don't want to suffer for another 6 weeks before going back to the doc.

Sinus infections sometimes occurs after you’ve had a cold. The cold virus attacks the lining of your sinuses, causing them to swell, and your body responds to the virus by producing more mucus. This built-up mucus makes a good place for bacteria to grow. The bacteria can cause a sinus infection.

same right eye pain
For about a year and a half I have had facial pain/pressure, esp. around/behind my eyes mostly in my right eye as well. I had a CT Scan and had pan sinusitis. I took antibiotics and Sudafed. I am on Mucinex-D right now, even though my latest scan was clear. I still have the pain, but not while on decongestants? And currently diagnosed w/ Migraines. Had you recently took any new meds or are you around chemicals like cleaning products a lot?
