Please help. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for over 2 years now. I have a 6 year old son only, and I really want another child so badly. I have been doing everything by the book, and working out my ovulations and fertile days etc, and we did on the most fertile time. I even tested myself to make sure I was fertile. And I was. But I got a pregnancy test today (I am not due for my period till Monday) but I am convinced I am pregnant as I feel differently, but the test has shown up negative and it is supposed to be 99% acurate, and you can test anywhere from up to 5 days before a missed period. Am I testing too soon? Could it still be possible I still could be pregnant? I am just getting so frustrated. I just want another child. I don't constantly worry about it, but at that time of the month at ovulation time, I am on the look out for my fertility levels to work on when we need to have intercourse.
I hope that someone can give me some hope.

Thanks

It may still be too early to get an accurate result. So I always say that you aren't out of the running until your cycle shows up.

Good luck and hopefully this is your month!!

The test is 99% accurate when testing on the day after you've missed your period (and only when you have the typical amount of hcg). If you read the instructions, the percentage of detecting pregnancy is lower every day before the day after your missed period, so it probably only was about 60% accurate the day you took it if you took if 4 days before your expected period. I knnnnoooow how hard it is, but it's always best for you to wait until after you've missed your period. Sorry hun, but good luck! Even if it doesn't happen this month, it WILL happen. Try having sex every other day all cycle long. I know it sounds like it takes the spontaneity out of sex, but it allows the male enough time to get his sperm count back up (especially if he has a lower sperm count to begin with) and it guarantees that you will have sex at least twice during your fertile time. Baby dust!!!
