birth control / plan b period delay
Posted: 02-07-08 00:05am

Ok so here it goes. My girlfriend and I were having sex the other night and the condom broke and I ejaculated inside her. She is on birth control but just to be safe we went and got Plan B and she took it only 12 after "the accident". She was two days away from starting her sugar pills for her birth control. Well, she started her sugar pills on the 27th of January and its now Feb. 6th and she still has not gotten her period. Is this probably because of the Plan B? Is it possible that she might miss this period because she is back on her regular birth control pills now? Whats the chance of her being pregnant when she is on birth control AND we took Plan B? Thanks .....

SHE DID NOT NEED PLAN B!!

PLAN B will cause a delay in her period, although it can also cause an early period too.

PLAN B IS NOT needed when a woman is on regular birth control.

REGULAR BIRTH CONTROL is more effective than PLAN B.

Carifairy is right. In the future, you will not need to get Plan B if she is taking her hormonal birth control every day at the same time. Even using a condom is unnecessary, for hormonal birth control is 99% effective.

Plan B can cause her period to come early or late due to the extra hormones she receives because of it.

She is definitely not pregnant, so you have nothing to worry about. Smile
