Q: Ear Ache/sorish Throat

Hi. A couple of weeks ago, I developed what I thought was a sore throat....But it didn't seem like strep, it didn't bother me to eat, or drink....Actually it didn't bother me at all when I was eating! Now it just seems like it has been my ear all along. It is only on the left side, and doesn't hurt all the time. Usually worst in the am or late pm. It hurts when I talk, only when I make certain sounds....(does that make sense?) and rarely when I swallow (only a certain way...) what is going on? I took amox, when it first started, and it only helped minimally....So then I assumed it was viral... Other than that, I feel fine.. Maybe a little tired, but the last 8 months have been over the top stressful!!! I did recently relocate to an entirely different region (pollen, etc) wise...Is it a weird allergy prob? Does anyone have any advice....

I will go to the Dr., but it is such a pain, and a bit scary to find a Dr. In a new town where you don't know many people!
I'd appreciate anything you might share!

Hey there,
it seems i'm suffering the same from you! I've been hunting for ages, looking to find some sort of information on it, fearing the worst, such as cancer (which my mother just got cleared from!). "usually worst in the am or late pm" that's the same too, not all the time, just occasionally there! Just under the jaw, where the back of your neck (tendony/fleshy) meets the front (can feel the throat), just underneath the jaw line, do you feel slightly swollen (not much) 2 small lumps, like "beans" the one on the side of your pain slightly more? I seem to, and i'm not sure if that's relevant.
Did u ever find anything out about it? If so, could you let me know? That'd be great.
Hope it's all good!
Adam
