I was given Zpack for strep throat. I was on my period at the time. I finished the zpack one day before period ended. I started the new pack one day after finishing the zpack. Will this affect my birth control (ortho tri cylen low). Thanks

NO =)

Using an antibiotic during your PERIOD week will not affect your protection! that worked out really well.

Although you do still have some antibiotic in your system after you stop using Z-PACK, it is not considered enough to compromise protection.

I am a health care professional, and this is what I have been advised to tell women.
