My urine has a very strong musty or maybe rubber smell to it. I've moved to Pennsylvania from NYC and I never had this problem before. I was worried about the onset of diabetes but there is nothing sweet smelling about it. It also is not gold colored it is more of a grey-green color I am concerned and dont think this is normal.

Possibly ketones in your urine, which suggests diabetes.

Make an appointment to have a check asap.

It could also be a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) so I'd go and see a doctor about it for a test too as they can be very painful if left to develop. Keep us posted, if this IS the case we can offer lots of advice that should help you stay well. That said, if it is a UTI then be sure to try to find out what bacteria they find since it's much easier to get rid of if you know what the problem is.

Hope you stay well,

Chiyaki.

I agree with everyone above, go see your doctor get a urine test done. If it is a UTI and it goes untreated it can travel to the kidneys causing more problems.

Is there puss in your urine?

Urine Strong Odor
Most likely caused by liquids laying in the bottom of the bladder and not emptying when you urinate. The stale urine finally comes out and has a very strong odor. This is caused by lack of exercise and lack of drinking liquids i.e. water. cranberry juice. A safe way to flush your bladder to eliminate the foul oder of urine is to use AZO Standard available in most all grocery stores and pharmacies over the counter. Take 1 tablet for 3 consecutive days. This should do it. Do not get alarmed with the orange colored urine as that is due to the medication. If you have any othre symptons other than the odor then you need to see a qualified urologist. You may be suffering from UTI or other serious bladder disorders. Good luck and I hope I have helped.
