Since it has already been a couple of months and you are still uncomfortable, you can switch birth control methods.
You shouldn't stick with it because you won't have a period, you should stick with a birth control method that YOU like and YOU are comfortable with.
Talk to your doctor. If you want off, I would get off of it. Try a different form. I have Mirena. Although it hurt to insert, I don't have to worry about getting pregnant for 5 years, unless I want to. After my body got used to it (took about 7 months), I haven't gotten any periods either, but I haven't really experience a lot of side effects like a lot of the other methods.
