Definitely! If you started seven days late, you could definitely get pregnant.
Once you have been taking your pills for seven days in a row, you will be protected from pregnancy again.

What do you mean by seven days late? Were you already on birth control? Was this your first time?
Either way, YES, you can get pregnant. When on consecutive packs, you must start the new pack right after the old pack, otherwise you may become pregnant. If you didn't get a new pack for seven days, then you need to take the pills for a week and then you will be protected.
When first starting pills, if you do not start them during your period, you must wait a week before you are safe.
