Abortion

Abortion is not a nice act and all who
commit not a nice act should be punished.
Plain and simple! Thus the reason I
come not to this forum. It's sick.
Argueing this debate is sick. It's
wrong. No reason to ask twice or even
read anyones babbling of why it should be
accepted. Everyone says use in it cases
of rape: yes, the child is 1/2 the man who
raped you....But it is also 1/2 you!
But I guess that dosen't matter right.
It's the woman's choice correct? Health
question! Abortion is wrong. Sick.
And wrong!

I agree this debate is sick - there is
often little or no respect for those who
are dying today and tommorow women and
unborn children and this lack of respect
comes from both sides of the fence in the
case of both parties.
However it is essential that we debate and
raise awareness about abortion. It is
very important we as pro life advocates
remember not everyone has the
understanding or knowledge we do.
Pro choice people are not terrible
mindless evil doers, they are simply
misinformed mislead on the abortion issue
and fearful of pro life as they see us as
a group of people wishing to take away
what they honestly believe to be a
fundemental right.
We need to educate not alianate.

Unfortunately so many anti-abortionists
come across as irrational, obsessive
fanatics who are just as dangerous as the
taliban in their attitude to women. They
don't tend to be very convincing to women
who are frightened, sick and alone.
Many anti-abortionists have been very
helpful to women who really don't want to
have abortions, but think it might be
their only option. They are the ones who
don't preach, don't condemn as evil, don't
try to frighten women with all sorts of
pseudo-scientific so-called facts.
Instead, they offer better option, giving
emotional support and often financial
support in a way that demonstrates they
have some sympathy with a difficult
situation.
Ranting and raving aren't helpful.

Yep I totaly agree. If I was 16 and
facing this decision and came on in need
for support and help i'd be scared health
question less. I wouldn't feel people
were trying to give me facts, but pushing
there beliefs down on me and making me
feel horrible. You can state your
reasonings without making judgments on
other people

Look poo, I know that "so called facts"
statement was aimed at me; I assure you
what I have said is true, biologists are
unanimous in that a human beings life
begins at conception even pro choice
biologists. I have posted testimonies to
this fact from medical backgrounds you
have simply stated your opinion.

Life? Well, in the sense that it is
living. But not personhood.

Uh ohhhh here we go again....
Samie I have a question for you. Do you
feel guilty about the decision you made
becasue you feel it was wrong? Or becasue
you cannot have a child now becasue of the
choice you made?

One of the best tests of personhood is
viability, upon which the 1973 supreme
court decision roe vs. Wade was based.
Viability is defined as the ability to
live outside the womb. It is based upon
the broader logic that "a person is as a
person does." in other words, people
normally breathe on their own, circulate
blood on their own, fight off most germs
on their own and sustain normal cellular
activity on their own. A fetus is able to
achieve these functions once it reaches a
weight of about 5 pounds. This usually
occurs between the 7th and 8th month of
pregnancy -- coincidentally, about the
time that the baby has finished its brain
and central nervous system. The extra
womb time appears to be a biological
courtesy.

If you think this debate is sick, then why
are you here?
Samie, prochoicers are not misled. It is
so funny that just because we don't agree
with you that we are automatically
uneducated and misled. That is just
pathetic. I truly hope that none of you
are ever in a situation where you would
have to consider an abortion, but that
would probably be the only way for you to
open your minds.
