I'm working today! Which is fine by me. I'm over going to the parades.

Aaron's parents took Alyvia to the children's parade on Sunday though! They were the only ones on that side of the street, so Alyvia racked up! I don't even know what to do with all the stuff she got.

Mardi Gras is a huge celebration, a way to party down and really enjoy yourself before Ash Wednesday.

Louisiana usually celebrates by throwing big parades, dancing, eating King Cakes, and basically having lots of fun. Usually people only think of parades and beads when they think of Mardi Gras though.

OH darn. I forgot!

So what are you giving up for Lent? Can I give up exercise? Will that work out?

I'm not Catholic so I'm not giving anything up Laughing Wink

lots of people give up meat, I'm told. I remember being at school and HATING the fact that the "meat" was some form of frozen fish patty or stick. Bleh.

I'm not Catholic either. Wink But I always give up something for Lent - because Fat Tuesday isn't the same if you aren't giving something up!

Last year I gave up all forms of sugar. That was hard - but it's only a 6 weeks. This year though, I'll do something different because I'm not eating sugar anymore (thanks to last year!).

In Lent they normally give up meats on Friday's only. Every Friday they eat seafood.

I don't understand that, but hey...

Thanks! They're crazzzzy!!
