For the past 4-5 days, Cheyenne has been super cranky. I felt her gums yesterday morning, and they were just a bit swollen. Last night, was a little rough for her. I laid her down at 7 like usual and she was up at 8 and then again at 9. She finally settled in after that, but was kind of moaning and crying in her sleep the rest of the night. I gave her a little bit of tylenol before laying her down the first time and it did't seem to help her at all. She is also a little congested, has a runny nose and a cough. Do you think this is all related to her teething? I think I'm going to try and get her a doctor appointment today, just to be sure nothing else is going on with her. She has her 6 month check up in 2 weeks, but I don't want to wait that long.

Any advice?

Sounds like it could be teething and a cough. They probably aren't related. Sometimes babies get a runny nose with teething - but I'm thinking the couch isn't as related. If she has no fever, there isn't a big cause for concern.

Do you have any teething rings? You can also dampen and then freeze wash cloths, some babies like that coolness to bite on.

The same thing was happening with Kaylee, and she ended up with RSV. Just keep an eye on her for a day or two. If her cough gets worse or she gets a fever, call her dr.

We've been keeping an eye on her. She's been like this for the past 4-5 days. It's not getting any worse, but it's not getting any better either. I am scared to death of RSV and I know this is the season for it. I've made her an appointment for this afternoon, just to be safe. It's probably nothing major and I will probably get another one of those looks like I'm being too paranoid....

She has tons of teething rings and I got her some of the teether biscuits too...she LOVES those. I just want her all better. Sad I hate when babies don't feel well. It's interfering with her nighttime sleep too, and she's not the greatest napper through the day; so I know she's not getting the amount of sleep she should be. Just a worried mom....
