I need the insight offered by you all here.

I've been diagnosed with fibro and I have tenderness, but that's the only similar symptom I can see that I have. I have muscle pain and weakness but it doesn't seem to be like the fibro symptoms I read about.

When I am going to have an episode of sickness I get 2-3 days of flu-like symptoms: generally feeling crappy, headaches, restless, muscle pain, but never a fever or stomach symptoms like an actual virus. After this passes I feel like h*ll for about 3 weeks with muscle pain, muscle weakness, muscle tightness, numb patches on my body. I already have a tremor from another condition but it worsens at this time. After talking to other fibro people, I've yet to find anyone with this pattern of an onset of an episode.

Any info is appreciated!

Flu Symptoms
The flu symptoms you describe and the cycle you describe is EXACTLY like what I go through and have termed "Fibro-Flu". I know alot of people may say they understand you - and DON'T and this can be depressing and frustrating. I have found that NONI juice - which some think is a hoax and some do not -
helps to alleviate the aches. unfortunatly - I do not have the exact one I used awhile back - but it is in small blue glass bottles and I thought the name of the company was Futurebiotics. GNC 's sometimes carry it too- the exact blue bottle- as this is THE only one that seemed to be beneficial. It is purest. (If I find out - or if any one can help with where to get it PLEASE POST!). Other things are tumeric (the spice) and cooking things with lots of ginger. Yoga - also helped - stretching when you can't do yoga ....not remaining immobile - even though that is ALL you want to do. I wish you all the best fellow Fibro-er! sunny

Try the anti-inflammatory diet...inflammation begins in the digestive tract and works it way through your system down to the cellular level.

I'm living proof that it truly works. I have posted this many times in his forum...

I suffered for 8 long painful years until I tried an anti-inflammatory diet and my pain level went from a 10 to a zero in less than 30 days I lost weight (wasn't looking to lose).

You have nothing to lose but pain.
