Lately, I often become quite nauseated after eating, even after eating very little food, to the point where I almost have to throw up. After an hour or two the feeling is gone. I've tried to discover a pattern in this, but so far it seems quite random.

It is not painful and it isn't happening all the time, but it is quite annoying sometimes, because it makes it hard to concentrate for while every time. The feeling is similar to the feeling when you're very nervous -- in the middle of my abdomen.

I think I would like to go to a doctor to have him examine my belly, but do you think that's what he'll do? If he'll talk to me and say it's nothing, or will just prescribe me some anti-nausea tablets, I'd rather not go at all. Is it standard procedure to do some examination for this kind of thing?

Nausea
You should get a ultra sound done on your gal bladder. You might have gal stones that you don't know about cause everything you are feeling I'm feeling.
I started dieting since my pregnancy & just the very little that I eat makes me sick.
My ultra sound is due in March of 2008 so im excited & hoping its gal stones so this vomiting feeling can be gone.

Interesting idea. What makes you think it's the gal bladder?

(I can't be pregnant by the way.)

All medication that have been giving to me never works.
When you said"-- in the middle of my abdomen"
I knew really fast what it was cause those are the pains I had
when I was seeing the midwifes. My son is already 4 months old.
So I've been having this since I was 6 months pregnant.
Please let your doctor know & let them know you want a ultra sound done fast.
Or it will get worse then what you already feeling.
Im 23 and yes the pain is very upsetting.

Well, I'm not convinced. First of all, it's not really pain. It's more nausea.

Second, it could be one hundred different things. Why gallbladder?
