Q: sperm analysis sample

Ok, so my husband is going for his sperm analysis on Thursday morning. Originally it was supposed to be for this Wednesday. The doc said no sex after Sunday so that the little guys can have a chance to build up before he gives his sample. So now it is Thursday and today would be 3 days out for them to build up. The problem is that af is here so there is no bding right now.

??? The question is...should I "relieve" him (for lack of a better word) tonight so that they have a chance to build back up, or do you think that it doesn't matter???

Sorry, just thinking about what to do.

Lol @ relieving him!!!

I am not very savvy with all of that stuff (tests) but I would say if he is going for the test on Thursday, then it really shouldn't matter if he goes another day without "bursting" or not!! LOL! Sorry...I had to say that....

But I think it is up to you....

I know our dr said his last sample had to be within 5 days (so they aren't "old") But no um...sample (either as a partnership or a solo act) within 48 hours. And we timed it out to like 52 hours and the result was great.

It would be up to you guys if you wanted to *uh-hm* tonight.

And if he wants to fly solo tonight because of af, it's all good. That will work just as well.

Well, we have to wait for another week to get the SA. DH had his appointment yesterday but we didnt make it. I also had an appointment right before his at another doctor, and I didnt schedule enough time between the two. When I got home, we didnt have much time to go, so we just rescheduled it for next week.

...Stay tuned for more results...

Hey Shorty,

I havent seen you around here much lately.

Well we had to wait. The first time we had some "technical difficulties" because we were trying to get it before I went to my doctors appointment. THat didnt work, so we rescheduled it for the following week. So then last Thursday came and he was scheduled to go by himself because I had a training class that I had to go. He had planned to have that day off, but that morning, he got called in to go to work. He didnt want to turn the money, so we had to postpone it again.

No worries though. I have decided that I am not going to stress about anything right now. His work has been hit or miss lately (stupid construction) so because he doesnt have steady work, it doesnt make sence to try so hard if we dont have 2 steady incomes.

So we are just going with the flow...I stopped temping for the moment as well.

Sounds like you have made peace with your current situation, knowing that it won't last forever. That is a talent that I have a hard time with. I like to be in solution mode as much as possible. I wish I could be more like you.

I'm on cd4 of an IUI cycle. I'm surprisingly very nervous about it. The good news is that a sonogram showed ten follicles at the start of this cycle, so that is encouraging. I've started the clomid and will get FSH and HCG injections next week.
