Extremely eHealthy
Hello. I'm 18 and I just found out I have HPV from my FIRST partner, faithful my butt! We were together for 2 years and he dumped me and was married within a month after being engaged to me for over a year... men!

I found out because I'm pregnant and pregnancy lowers your immune system, which cause a lot of warts to pop up around my hoo ha. Just be sure you get regular PAP smears, because if they get onto your cervix, they may cause cancer. I know how you feel on accepting it. It's still hard for me too, I always thought I was clean, but now, 2 years later, turns out, no, I'm dirty (what if feels like anyway). My fiancee is really understanding though. I obviously gave it to him, but he keeps saying "I'm not sleeping with anyone else, why should I care?" Which makes me feel better.

If you like, you can PM me if you want to talk.

I understand what you feel. we have the same condition. I just found out that I have genital warts a week ago and had cauterization of warts last wednesday. I met a nice man but after I told him about it, he told me that we both need to moved on. He said he can't forgive me if he acquired any from me. It SUCKS.

U need to see a doctor so that he will advise you what to do. And if u want someone to talk to. PM me.

I think I have the same problem. I have been seeing this guy for three months and not sure if it was him who passed them onto me... now I am not sure how to raise the subject with him as I really like him and worry about how he will react.

How have other people approached this sensitive issue?

I feel quite depressed in thinking that I have this virus for life.

Been a year
Hi guys, it's been a year since I was diagnosed that I have genital warts. Had cauterization of warts last Jan 2008, unfortunately, warts popped out again in mid- March. So I had cauterization of warts last Mar 15 for the second time. I can't forget that experience. It was really painful and was really shouting at the private clinic. My doctor told me that I need to go to big hospital because of many warts, but I begged not to send me to hospital because my parents and my friends didn't know about it. I was alone solving my own problem. Good news, since Mar 2008, warts din't pop up again. My secret is I always make myself healthy, I did stop smoking and drinking and I always make it sure that I drink mango and carrot juice once a week. Don't worry about your condition. It's not the end of the world. Just go to a doctor and he knows the best for you. To update you guys, the guy that I used to date last year dumped me, but am lucky because I found my dream guy now and we are happy. He didn't get any warts from me.

I guess u need to tell him about your condition and explain it to him. If he dump you, just move on. It's not the end of the world. He's not the right guy for you if he didn't accept your condition.

this is a reply to 'alyssag'. from what ive read over the internet, it is possible he cheated but then again, the disease can stay in your system for up to 7 years before giving any signs.

i recently got diagnosed with a wart on my cervix, im only 17. and its really scary. i was bleeding during sex and when i went to the doctor they thought it sounded like chlamydia and so did the lady at family planning who did some tests, but she sent me for a coloscopy because she saw something odd. of course all the tests came back all ok, so that made me even more worried until the coloscopy when the found the wart.

i think that's the worrying thing is because i had no idea i had anything because i couldn't see anything. i suppose that's why everyone should use a condom, even once without can ruin your life.

I'm new here. I went to the doctor a few days ago now i have not been officially diagnosed but when I told the doctors the symptoms and she looked at what was a blister on my penis. Now by the time it was an open sore. All she did was look and she was like that look like herpes. I still got to wait on the blood test however i've already been put on Valtrex. I have to be honest. I can't see how people would put themselves at risk for love. I don't really expect to find anyone now and as crazy as it sound I don't want to be involved with anyone that has it also. Seeing someone else with it is not gonna make me feel better about myself To the people that try to say something wrong with a person if they decide not to be with them because they told they have herpes. Its make perfect sense to me because if i met someone that had and i didn't. I wouldn't continue to date that person. Why knowingly put my self at risk. Yall can talk all that crap about protection. Safer sex practice do decrease the chances of infection but its not 100%. You will always put that person at risk no matter what yall say. I'm a be honest i really don't any person on this planet is worth that risk and that includs me. Its a forum and yall can say what you want but i can't see how some people act like having this disease don't change things.
