Hi.......

I'm 23 weeks pregnant now.

Please let me know if the condition reported as
"A venous lake (22mls in volume) is noted in the lower margin of the placenta" in my 19th week Ultrasound scan poses any problem.

I will be on a 12 hr flight travel next week.

Please help.

venous lakes are not considered pathological, and are actually quite common in the 2nd trimester scan.

Flying is the safest in the 2nd trimester. If you are going to fly, you should still get the ok from your doctor. Make sure you keep yourself well hydrated, use the restroom when you need to, and try not to sit down for the entire flight.
