This November I started working 16 hour days as a nurse assistant with a few days off. within a week or two I felt slight soreness in my lumbar and eventually up into my left lower trap. I kept working, my lower trap would get sore as the day went on, after work it was visibly swollen. I took a week off and felt better. I went kayaking once and landed off a ten foot falls awkwardly with my affected side extended and felt some small pop, but no significant pain. Back at work it was the same, as the day went on my muscle would get sorer and sorer until I finally went on light duty just after thanksgiving. since then I have been correcting body mechanics, and keeping my abs in flex which has eased the pain some. it has been two months. All my other muscles are getting sore now trying to take up the slack. is it normal for this to take so long to heal.... I don't feel any better. I am also feeling my arm get kinda fuzzy feeling every now and then... Is this a good diagnosis.... I have had thoracic x-rays done and slight scoliosis was showing, other than that the disc spaces looked even and uniform
My physical therapist and doctor say I have an badly torn lower trap.
Can anyone help me return to normal life.
