If you have not gone into labor within 48
hours after losing your mucus plug; Is
there a chance of getting an infection?

No, your mucous plug can regenerate
itself. There's no risk unless your water
was to break. Then you would need to
deliver within 48 hours. How far along are
you?

No, you can't get an infection. Every
woman and every pregnancy will be
different. Some women lose it weeeeeks
before they deliver, while some lose it a
day or two before.
Good luck on your delivery when it
happens!

heard that it can last for weeks.

Oh yeah, you'll be feeling that until the
very end. Have you dilated any yet?

As of last Wednesday, I had dilated 1cm.
Since my mucous plug fell out, my body has
experienced several changes. It feels like
it is in full gear, for sure!!!
