This is sick...but here goes.

From the start of my pregnancy, I got this anal fissure. I was constipated, and insisted on pushing the caca out, so it ended up tearing my butt hole. Anyways...every time I take a crap I re-tear the tear i have in my anus. nice eh??
unless i give myself laxatives steady, so that it is diaherra, my hole will tear, and it is very painful. I have gone to my doc, and he said eventually it will heal....and it has a couple times, but as soon as i have a good crap...it starts all over agian.

it happened this morning, and my hole is just throbbing right now....like a headache that won't let up.... I can't get depended upon laxitives becasue it isn't solving the problem..... aarrghhh

I really don't know what to do about that. Perhaps get a second opinion from another doctor and say "LOOK! My quality of life is suffering here! Sew me up!"

Might be less painful than the fissure though.

Anal fissure
I completely understand where you're coming from. I too got an anal fissure when I became pregnant. My daughter is 11 months old now, and it still tears every time I have a bowel movement. I've gone to several doctors and none of them have been able to give me any relief. Laxatives make me feel horrible and they don't even work! I'm just as frustrated as you are! Let me know if you figure it out!

the thing is with laxatives that they are not a good long term solution. although they might make you nice and regular for a day, in the long term they make the situation worse cos the day you stop taking them your poo will start building up and you will find they actually CAUSE constipation.

say on monday morning you take laxatives, then all monday you will be pooing fine but by tuesday you will be constipated. trust me i used to take them all the time when i was younger and it just messes up your poo cycle! i think the best way to help the fistula heal is ensure you are eating a good high fibre diet so your stools are nice and soft and you are regular. that means a big portion of vegetables with every meal, use brown bread instead of white, eat fruit, drink lots of water etc.

i would stop taking laxatives for this problem cos they they should only be used really occasionally if you have to.
