Depressed: Did I Make A Mistake?
Posted: 02-01-08 20:55pm

Within the last 2-3 weeks I've been doing a lot of thinking. Which is making me depressed.

It all started when my cousins computer crashed. I went to repair it, since I know how to repair computer systems (to a certain degree). I had problems with the repair. So I got to talking with this one guy I know in my personal finance college class. Now he is in the Computer Systems Technology course and I am in the Building Renovation Technician course. I had gotten acceptance into the Computer Systems Technician course but turned it down.

So I got my cousis system up and running. And for the past 2-3 weeks me and this guy have been talking computer talk. Thats mostly the only thing we have in common.

I'm kinda having problems in the course I'm in especially my reno class, which is mostly group issues, not my work problems. It makes me sad cause my group will yell at me and then I feel like caca as well as get pissed off.

So here I am thinking about all my computer times and everything. And now I'm wondering if I made a mistake or not, for not taking the computer course. Its making me depressed.

I love to do both things construction and computer but all these thoughts in my brain is just killing me.

Also my parents never acknowledge to almost anyone that I am taking building renovation they always say I'm doing architectural technology.

How old are you, if I may ask?

How would you describe your self-confidence levels?

well, it sounds like you've been thinking alot like you said, i know when i think too much or overthink something that too can happen, am told i think too much and that is where our problem lies true. But can you change that, probably not it is part of you. What can you do though? Well, still regret not taking the class, then go sign up for it again and take it this time, I say you will never know unless you try. Its okay if you're still not sure which way to go, I've taken lots of classes just to see if it fits me better, I would like it or find it isn't really for me. Or like some I know, just end up doing both after all, two completely different subjects. And others actually graduate, find they hate it later while working and go back to do another different degree, and that too is okay, because what matters is how do you feel about it? If you are unhappy how it ended, the good thing is YOU can ALWAYS change it, that goes for any decision you make, try it if it doesn't work for you then do something else, don't kill yourself over it day after day feeling miserable, it will not get you anywhere. Of course speaking from personal experience. About parents, tell them what you want them to know, rather correct them, and tell them how it makes you feel when they don't acknowledge you correctly. They too are human, make mistakes just like us, and am sure they want nothing but your complete happiness in anything you do no matter what or how you end up, just be happy with it. Good luck to you.
